No Kill
Many of our fish have been in the stream for years and nearly all mortality is due to
predation from otter, mink, herons and other predators. Please observe the following
rules.
- All fishing is catch and release.
- Use only barbless or semi-barbless hooks.
- Land the fish as quicky and carefully as possible.
- Use a landing net.
- Do not put fingers in the gills or squeeze the fish.
- Do not stand up while holding the fish as a drop from even just a couple feet will
injure the fish
- Hold the fish with one hand under the belly and the other over the nose. You can
momentarily slip your hand over the nose and under the fish for pictures.
- Use common sense and be gentle with the fish.
If you wish to take some fish home with you and are fishing the lake, arrangements can
be made to keep fish caught from the lake at $6.00 per pound. All guests can purchase fish
from our hatchery at the following rates.
- 12" to 19" - $4.13/lb
- 20" to 24" - $5.13/lb
- Above 24" - $6.95/lb
Fishing License
All persons 16 or older must purchase and display a Pennsylvania fishing license with
trout stamp.
Release
All guests are required to sign a release of liability. We are not responsible for
accidents.
